Meet: Dr. Brent J Barta DDS.
Welcome. I am Dr. Brent Barta. I was born and raised in Fort Wayne. I was greatly influenced to enter the dental profession by my uncle, Dr. David McClure, a pediatric dentist who practiced in Anderson, Indiana.
After graduating, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1984, I began practice on the Westside of Indianapolis. The practice now known as West 10th Dental Group was established in 1985.
My passion is to provide patients with the best individualized solution possible for their dental needs and wants. The key is cooperative care: understanding the patient, thorough diagnosis, customized treatment plan, and the necessary skill to provide the treatment required.
Prevention is the key to everything we do in dentistry.
When prevention is not taken, I have a special interest in solving the more complex dental problems . Dental implants now provide answers that were not possible in the past. For that reason, I spend a great deal of time reviewing new treatments available in the area of dental implants.
I currently maintain membership in the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, Indianapolis District Dental Society, American Academy of Dental Group Practice, International Congress of Oral Implantology, Indianapolis Dental Implant Study Club, and other dental study clubs. I have also been involved in the peer review process, as a member of the Indianapolis District Peer Review committee for the years 1995 -2004 (chair 2002-2004).
Personally, I am married to Tracy (since 1981), and we have 3 sons: Matthew, Daniel, and Douglas. I enjoy long distance running, reading, music, travel, mission dentistry, bible study, and work with Eagle Creek Park Foundation.
