Dr. Brent Barta graduated, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1984. He began practice on the Westside of Indianapolis after graduation, and the practice now known as West 10th Dental Group was established in 1985. Together with his wife, Tracy, Dr. Barta has three sons. Outside of work, Dr. Barta enjoys long distance running, playing the drums in two local bands, and volunteer work.
Dr. Robert Hindman graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1977 and completed his training in Periodontics in 1981. He has been practicing as a Periodontist (gum specialist) for 27 years and joined our practice in 2008. Dr. Hindman and his wife, Kathy, enjoy spending time with their three children. He also appreciates time for reading, exercising, and woodworking.
Dr. Chapman received his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Master of Science degrees from Indiana University. He has been practicing in orthodontics since 1979 and began seeing West 10th Dental Group orthodontic patients in 2003. Away from work, Dr. Chapman enjoys traveling, auto racing and music.
Dr. Edmund Rapp graduated from the Indiana School of Dentistry in 1987 and from Specialty Endodontic training in 1990. Dr. Rapp joined our practice in 2009 and provides specialty care for our patients needing a root canal. Aside from work, Dr. Rapp spends time with his wife and two young sons. He also looks forward to traveling, cooking, and reading in his free time.
Dr. Jay Bowling graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2004, after
receiving his undergraduate degree in engineering from Purdue University. Dr. Bowling
joined West 10th Dental Group part-time in 2009 and full-time in 2011, practicing general
and cosmetic dentistry. His wife and three young children keep Dr. Bowling busy after
hours, and he also enjoys travel, cheering on the local sports teams, and golfing.
Dr. Laura Juntgen graduated from Case Western University School of Dental Medicine in 2010 and obtained her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry. Admiration for the creative and innocent nature of children inspired Dr. Laura to devote her career to helping them. When not in the office, she enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, interior design, and walks with her Labradoodle,Owen.
Dr. Katherine T. Nichols obtained her undergraduate degree in Biological Studies at Butler University. She graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry, where she obtained her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry. Mission trips to Mexico and time volunteered at children’s dental clinics solidified her decision to work with children. She loves being able to help shape children’s early dental experiences into positive habits for life. Dr. Katie welcomed son, Nolan, into the world in July, 2012. She enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, kayaking, and camping.
